MTM's modification options for the VW Beetle undoubtedly extend the uniqueness of the vehicle. Our performance package imparts on the Beetle the trill of a high performance vehicle, improves handling and extends the emotional appeal with technically delightful concepts and a product range covering everything from engine, exhaust systems and suspensions settings through to performance brakes. Also included in the MTM option for the Beetle are the attractive 9-spoke race design bimoto alloy-rims, specially designed by MTM for the models from the VW group, which offer an appealing visual enhancement with their superior quality, impress at first sight and underline the sporty character of the Beetle.

MTM Engine modifications

The spectrum of our tuning modifications and performance kits for the VW New Beetle range from optimized reprogramming of the control electronics through to the complete conversion of the engine unit. Every VW New Beetle engine modification and performance kit has been developed by mtm and thoroughly tested for reliability in road and racing use. Because of the higher peak torque the fuel consumption can be reduced by up to 5 - 20 percent. The engine tuning does not have an negative effect on engine durability. After a performance upgrade petrol engines need min. 98 octane super plus petrol (diesel engines: no biodiesel).
